2023 3-point contest

The NBA’s best shooters will compete in the 2023 3-Point Contest this weekend. The field will feature a pair of teammates and a former champion.

Indiana Pacers guard Buddy Hield returns to defend his 2020 crown against a new crop of participants. Hield will look to hold off his Pacers teammate Tyrese Haliburton, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard and a first-time entrant in Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Huerter among others.

New York Knicks forward Julius Randle is a late addition.

He will replace Anfernee Simons in the contest and is one of three forwards competing this year.

Will Randle continue the trend of surprise winners? Last year, Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Karl-Anthony Towns took home the trophy.
